Salesman and engineer pile fabric department of Frederick Vietor & Achilles, New York, 1883-1892. Purchased with others, the American pile fabric plant of Sir Titus Salts Company, Bridgeport, Connecticut, 1892. President Kip-Armstrong Company.

With others bought the Griswold Worsted Company, of Darby, Pennsylvania, 1902, and now president same.

President Salts Textile Manufacturing Company, Bridgeport, Connecticut, and Lyons, France.
