Career

Called to Bar, 1860: Queen's Counsel 1873. Judge of the Supreme Court of New Brunswick, 1893. Member House of Commons for City of Saint John, 18S5.

Administrator of the Government during absence of Lieutenant-Governor Fraser, 1896.

Some years a member of the University Senate. One of the Commissioners to revise the Provincial Statutes, 1866.

Was Chairman of the Saint John School Board, et cetera Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Brunswick since 1908.
