Draftsman and assayer until 1885. Manager Denbigh Mining Company, Colorado, 1886-1887. Engineering work, 1888-1893.

Consulting engineer Charlotte Mineral & Mining Company, Washington, 1894. Manager Yorkville Mining Company, 1895. Manager Morton Island Dredging Company, Idaho, 1896-1897.

Consulting engineer, Hammond Manufacturing Company, Portland, Oregon, 1898-1903, Ladd Metals Company, 1904-1905. Now consulting engineer Seattle Construction & Dry Dock Company and in general mining practice.
