Volunteered as private, World War. Served as Lieutenant commanding 15th Photographic Associate of Science, in France.
Called a meeting of citizens, 1923, and in 2 days raised $400,000 to purchase 5,000 acres of land required for United States Air Service at Dayton, presenting same to Government.
Member National Aeronautic Association, Ohio Society of New York Chevalier Legion of Honor (France). Mason.; Clubs: Dayton Country, Miami Valley Hunt. Made a five months’ hunting expedition through British East Africa in 1927, and brought back many specimens to Dayton Museum of Natural History, also 8,000 feet of motion picture film.
