Father went to California, via Isthmus of Panama, 1849, returned to Wadhams, 1851, and again visited California same year. Studied at Cornell, 1869-1871. Bachelor of Laws, Albany Law School (Union U.), 1876.

Career

Admitted to New York bar, 1876. Began practice at Albany. Secretary New York State Bar Association, 1899-1922.

Treasurer American Bar Association, since 1902. Secretary board of statutory consolidation appointed to consolidate and revise the laws of State of New York.
