He graduated from New York University 1957 as an Economics Major. His first major employment came from the Organization of European Economic Cooperation (later known as Organization of European Cooperation and Development).

Friedrich Kahnert

Born November 12, 1925, in Phoebels Prussia on a farm, he escaped the Nazi invasion with his family. He left Organization of European Cooperation and Development as Vice President in 1976, to accept a position by the World Bank in 1976. Kahnert retired after 11 years from the World Bank as a Senior Economist.
He died March 12, 2002.
