Career
The Knight"s Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Friedrich-Wilhelm Otte was killed on 8 May 1944 at Sevastopol during Crimean Offensive (1944). He was posthumously promoted to Generalmajor Iron Cross (1914) Bibliography.
