Career
He was the son of former Major League outfielder Fred Brickell. A native of Wichita, Kansas, Brickell stood 5 feet 5 inches (165 m) tall and weighed 157 pounds (71 kg). A noted chewer of tobacco, Brickell died from cancer of the jaw at the age of 30.
