Career
A descendant of Uona, he carried out an administrative reform on a large scale in 984 at start of the reign of Emperor Kazan, although his Court rank was not so high. Little else is known about his public career.
Connections
Although his family was not well-to-do, his wife, a good house-keeper, enabled him to take an active part in Court affairs.After he rose to a high position, however, he divorced his wife and married a daughter of Mitsunaka Minamoto, which action was criticized by the people.
