Career
He was appointed Minister of the Left in 891. Was called popularly was Biwa-no-Otodo (Minister at the Biwa Residence). He was so rich that he kept properties in three large warehouses, which covered three-fourths of the compound of his famous residence.
Religion
In 892 he entered priesthood and assumed the Buddhist name of Seikaku.
