Fukusuke Nakamura

Background

Fukusuke was born in 1928 in Tokyo, Japan.

Career

In 1933, when his father died, Fukusuke made debut at Kabukiza theater under stage name of Kotaro and upon the death of his grandfather Utaemon V in 1940, became Fukusuke VII by succeed­ing to that hereditary stage name and was placed under charge of Kikugoro VI and has been active as a young Oyama (actor who impersonates female roles).
