Career
He is a professor at the International Research Center for Japanese Studies (国際日本文化研究センタ, Nichibunken) in Kyoto. Sueki"s studies at the University of Tokyo were rewarded with an Bachelor in 1973 and an Master of Arts in 1975. In 1994, he earned his Doctor of Philosophy
And he joined the faculty in the next year.
From 1995 through 2009, Sueki was a professor at the University of Tokyo. Since 2009, he has been a professor at the International Research Centre for Japanese Studies.
Membership
A member of the advisory board of Nanzan Institute for Religion and Culture"s Japanese Journal of Religious Studies, he is also a contributor to the journal itself.
