Fumio Nakashima

Education

In 1927 graduated from Tokyo Univer­sity. From 1927 studied for three years in Europe and America.

Career

In 1928 became instructor of Keijo University in Seoul. After returning home in 1939 became as­sistant professor and professor of Keijo University. Repatriated after the war and in 1947 was appointed professor of Tokyo University. As president of Japan English Literature Society from 1952 has been in a leading position in the world of English language and literature in this country.
