Career
While practicing law Furushima Giei was elected seven times to House of Representatives during prewar and postwar periods. He was one of surviving veterans of the old Seiyukai Party. After the war served successively as Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Justice and chairman of Standing Committee for Judicial Affairs.
