Elected to Oyodo Town Assembly (1925) and thereafter serv¬ed four terms as member of Nara Prefectural Assembly becoming vice-chairman of that assembly. Served then as mayor of Oyodo Town. Elected to House of Rep¬resentatives (1946) and became Parliamentary Councilor of Board of Reconstruction. Purged (1947). Re-elected to House of Representatives (1952 and 1953) and served as member of Standing Committee for Construction. Was Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Administrative Management Bureau (1954). Held additional posts of manager of District Chapter of Liberal Party, president of NakagawaGumi Civil Engineering & Construction Association, counselor of Nara Prefectural Union of Drug Manufacturers and chairman of Totsugawa and Yoshinogawa Rivers General Development Enterprise Organization.
