Elected to Oyodo Town Assembly (1925) and thereafter serv¬ed four terms as member of Nara Prefectural Assembly becoming vice-chairman of that assembly. Served then as mayor of Oyodo Town. Elected to House of Rep¬resentatives (1946) and became Parliamentary Councilor of Board of Reconstruction. Purged (1947). Re-elected to House of Representatives (1952 and 1953) and served as member of Standing Committee for Construction. Was Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Administrative Management Bureau (1954). Held additional posts of manager of District Chapter of Liberal Party, president of NakagawaGumi Civil Engineering & Construction Association, counselor of Nara Prefectural Union of Drug Manufacturers and chairman of Totsugawa and Yoshinogawa Rivers General Development Enterprise Organization. Books include Kaizo (Conversion) and Shukyo (Religion). Member of House oi Representatives and member of Liberal-Democratic Party. President of Toa Pharmaceutical Company, Ltd.
