1933-1943 assistant professor, from 1943 professor and head, Chair of Soil Sciences, Belorussian State University. In 1930's studied soils and marshland in Berezina River Basin and in Borisov Reserve. Studied buried peat lignites of the Poles’ye region.
Simultaneously studied the effect of mineral fertilizers on the stomata and transpiration of wheat, and the effect of soil reactions and fertilizers on plants. Established agrophisiological importance of trace elements in Khibinsk apatites. Determined genesis of bog phosphates and their significance as a source of phosphate nourishment for plants.
