Gabbie McGee is an international Jazz singer and songwriter. Her singing career began at the very young age of 5 years old, when she sang for her kindergarten graduation. She graduated from Jackson State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communication and minor in Performing Arts.
Her passion for jazz and its preservation earned her the 2014 Artist of the Year from the Greenville Arts Council.
She has released two independent albums: Certified Soul (2005) and Mississippi"s Daughter (2010). She sang the national anthem at the 2014 Belk Bowl.
She went on to win several pageants, including Mission Black Atlanta. She has won awards like BMI Independent Songwriter’s recognition for her song "Mississippi"s Daughter." As a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, Gabbie is contributes to the evolving world of Jazz through her performance and studio recordings.
