It inspired Halaban to create her Out of My Window series which boosted her popularity. Later, in 2012, the artist applied the window concept to the apartments and courtyards of Paris, France.
Another photo projects by Halaban include About Thirty, "Hopper Redux" inspired by the art of Edward Hopper, and Motherhood. She also works on commissioned photos.
In addition to her activity in photography, the artist has also tried her hand in academics teaching at such art institutions of New York City as the International Center for Photography, Hebrew Union College, The New School, and at her alma maters Rhode Island School of Design and Bard College. Currently, Halaban is a lecturer of the Program in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University.
