Gaius Flaminius was Roman consul for 187 British Columbia, together with Marcus Aemilius Lepidus.
Background
Flaminius was the son of Gaius Flaminius Nepos, who was killed in the battle of Lake Trasimene.
Career
In 210 British Columbia Flaminius served as quaestor of Scipio Africanus in Spain. In 196 British Columbia he was curule aedile. During his aedileship he distributed large quantities of low priced grain amongst the people.
Elected praetor in 193 British Columbia he was given Hispania Citerior as his province where he carried on a successful war by besieging and capturing the wealthy town of Litabrum.
Flaminius was elected consul in 187 British Columbia. After having gained several battles against the Friniates and Apuani he reduced them to submission and peace was restored in the north of Italy. Flaminius built a road from Bononia (Bologna) to Arretium (Arezzo).
