Career
Gakuzo Yoshino entered Furukawa Shoji Kaisha (Furukawa Trading Company). Served with Mitsukoshi Department Store (from 1920) and Kokaisha Company (from 1924). Entered Kawashimaya Shoten Company (1925) and became its director (1934) and managing director (1936). Appointed managing director (1939) and then senior managing director (1943) of Kawashimaya Securities Company. Became managing director (1944) and then senior managing director and then president (1947) of Nikкo Securities Company. Elected director of Suzuki Metal Industry Company (1948). Held additional post of permanent director of Keidanren (Federation of Economic Organizations).
