Career
In 2005, Gan Rui started his professional football player career with Chongqing Lifan in the Chinese Super League. He would eventually make his league debut for Chongqing on 11 March 2006 in a game against Liaoning Whowin. On 26 February 2015, Gan transferred to China League Two side Nanjing Qianbao.
