Career
Garry Hemingway made his début for Leeds against Salford on 5 October 1957. In the 1959-1960 season a knee ligament injury ruled him out for nearly two years, returning for the 1961-1962 season, he subsequently retired following injury during the pre-season 1962-1963 Lazenby Cup match against Dewsbury on Monday 13 August 1962. Garry Hemingway played wing, and scored two tries in Leeds" 24-20 victory over Wakefield Trinity in the 1958 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1958-1959 season at Odsal Stadium, Bradford on Saturday 18 October 1958, and scored a try in Leeds" 9-19 defeat by Wakefield Trinity in the 1961 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1961-1962 season at Odsal Stadium, Bradford on Saturday 11 November 1961.
