The firm was founded in the late 1960"s by a small group of young lawyers who had achieved academic distinction during law school and who had worked for various well-established large law firms and in government positions but who wanted to practice in a small-firm setting.
The firm continues to limit its hiring to those whose superior achievements suggest outstanding promise in the practice of law. Connolly Epstein"s practice is concentrated in five areas: (1) Litigation, including complex commercial, environmental, employment, civil rights, insurance and surety, premises liability, products liability, securities, Alternative Dispute Resolution and mediation, franchising, antitrust, construction, bankruptcy/creditors" rights, defamation/First Amendment, real estate and municipal matters.
