1887 began stage work in Moscow on the stage of the Small Hall, Nobles’ Assembly. Actor, Abramova Theater. 1896 began directing work.
Worked for Social for People's Entertainment (staged plays at Moscow plants and workers’ suburbs), for large actors’ associate and enterprises (with M. M. Boroday, Ye. Belyayev, K.N. Nezlobin). 1905-1915 stage director, Literature-Artistic Association Theater (so-called Suvorin Theater) in Saint St. Petersburg.
After 1917 October Revol organized in Odessa first Soviet theaters (Krasnyy moryak, Moroborona)-, 1930 founded and directed theater in Yakutia. Subsequently worked in the Far East in Blagoveshchensk, Petropavlovsk-on-Kamchatka and Vladivostok. From 1907 instructor at Stagecraft College, Literature-Artistic Social and North. North. Arbatov Drama School.
