Geki Satsuma was born in Japan.
Career
A disciple of Jiroemon Satsuma II, Geki Satsuma improved on the Satsumabushi style of joruri (ballad drama) singing. His style of singing was popular from about 1648 until 1711. He performed at a puppet theater at Sakaicho, Tokyo.
