He came to Toyama and presented the Lord of Toyama with an elixir named Hangonko. The Lord was so pleased with its effects that he gave sanction for its mass production to Gen- emon and entrusted its nation-wide sale to Genroku Yaezakiya. This is the origin of the famous nation-wide medicine peddling profession of Toyama.
