Kyle, Gene Magerl was born on October 11, 1919 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Daughter of Elmer Langham and Muriel Helen (Magerl) K. Mother Muriel Helen was a dramatic soprano (studied at Curtis Institute, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Lieder inGermany). She sang as a soloist in churches and theatre.
She also sang with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (Ossip Gabralowich, Defence Science Organisation Conductor).
She had her own radio show on W.J.R. Detroit. Father Elmer Langham Kyle was an electrical engineer and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
He was a first lieutenant in the Army in World War I. He was a representative for coal companies out of Pennsylvania and Virginia. He wrote and transposed music for organ and two pianos Student Center for Creative Studies, Detroit, 1938-1945.
