Achievements

At the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, he won bronze medals in the C-1 1000 m and C-1 10000 m events. Bukharin also won two gold medals at the 1958 International Coach Federation Canoe Sprint World Championships in Prague, Czechoslovakia (now Czechoslovakian Republic), earning them in the C-1 1000 m and C-1 10000 m events.
