After graduating a seven-year school he went to the new buildings in Birobidzhan. In 1929 he returned to Minsk and went to a technical school.
In 1937 he graduated from the literary department of the Minsk Pedagogical Institute.
He worked at the newspaper "Junger Arbaiter" ("young worker"), and after the graduation he became the head of the department in the newspaper "Pioneer of Belarus." In 1938-40 he taught the Belarusian language and literature in high school in Minsk, then - Fellow of the Institute of Language and Literature of the Academy of Sciences in Belarus. Since October 1941 he had been at the front, serving a machinegunner. He was killed in 1942 near Bryansk.
The first verse is dedicated to building projects in Birobidzhan, published in 1929 in the newspaper "Oktober" ("October"). Since 1930, he had been published in the journal "Shtern" ("Star"). He published two books of poetry - "Start" (1934) and "Poems" (1939). His poetry is dedicated to friendship, love, hard military service full of rich content, the most exciting thing gives a sense of life. The best poems of Shvedzik are full of lyricism. He was translated by E.Agnyatsvet, R.Borodulin, A.Volsky, A.Vyalyugin Into Belarusian language.
