Interviewed inaccessible people all over the world, including Edward Lee Howard, the CIA defector, and Kim Philby.
In the 1950s, reported for Ogonek from Cuba, where he interviewed Fidel Castro and Hemingway. Lived between 1966 and 1972 on Riverside Drive, New York, where he worked for the Novosti Press.
