Served in the army and later taught at Kanto Gakuin College (from 1927), becoming dean of its Higher Department. Served as official of Japanese Olympic Team. Visited Berlin as official of Japanese Olympic Team (1936).
Appointed president of Koku Kogyo Semmon Gakko (College of Aeronautical Technology) and president of Kogyo Semmon Gakko (Technical College). Became president of Kanto Gakuin University (since 1954).
Held additional posts of trustee of Japan Swimming League, managing director of Japan Recreation Association, member of Jinken Yogo Iin (Civil Rights' Commission) and chief director of Yokohama Y.W.C.A.
