Regular ceremonies enable people to open themselves to God more fully. They help people to hear God's offer and challenge ever more deeply, and to allow God to prompt and enable them to respond. The Covenant is a big challenge to everybody. If God is committed to human race, anyone has to be prepared to accept that as reality and make a commitment in return.
A believer should support social climates, in which human communities are maintained and strengthened for the sake of all persons and their growth. The diversity of religious expressions is guaranteed by the separation of church and state. However, church and state should interact in different social and political fields for the benefit of the whole society.
As human beings people are a part of a cruel and violent and unjust world that feels like it cannot be changed. By accepting forgiveness and liberation, God enables to resist evil and to live life that can make this world a better place. Every Christian should study the Bible that contains a variety of inspirational and thoughtful ideas in the field of history, law, and poetry.
