George received a technical education at Pratt Institute.
George supplemented his training in draftsmanship while employed in various offices in New York. During one period he was associated with Ernest Flagg in preparing plans for the Farmington Avenue Church at Hartford, Conn., and a number of Municipal Buildings in Westchester County, New York, United States.
In 1910 Mr. Bartlett established his own office in New York, United States and continued the practice until a short time before his decease when he retired to his home at Mt. Vernon. A number of his architectural works were in the latter city, the most important being the City Hall and Police Headquarters; the Westchester Woman's Club, and the Siwanis Country Club. He also designed hangars and depots for a nation-wide system of Airports for the Colonial and the Curtis Flying Company.
A short time before his decease when he retired to his home at Mt. Vernon.
