George Chalmers Dibert retired in 1963 as vice-president of J. Walter Thompson and Company, having worked there since 1950. For the preceding twenty years he was an executive with the same company, and prior to that did media research for Young and Rubicam Advertising Company (1925-1930). He was chairman of the Audit Bureau of Circulations in 1961.
