Eastbourne Board of Guardians, 1882 - 83. East Sussex County Council 1889-1904. Lewisham Borough Council since 1904.
Canterbury House of Laymen since 1895. Representative Church Council since 1904. Has been often called upon to give evidence before Royal Commissions and Parliamentary committees on public matters.
