Career
Born in Latvia, Juris was raised in the Riga district of "Vecāķi". Juris is married to Liesma, and they have a son, Pēteris. Dancis and his family reside in Adelaide, South Australia.
In 2006, Dancis was inducted into the Australian Basketball Hall of Fame.
