He was the husband of Clare Dennis. In 1932 he finished sixth the 400 metres event. In the 400 metre hurdles competition he was eliminated in the semi-finals.
He also participated in the 220 yards event, in the 880 yards competition, and in the 440 yards hurdles contest.
