Mr. Hall was trained for his profession in the office of Stone, Carpenter & Wilson, leading architects in Providence for many years, and shortly ther after began his career under the name of Martin & Hall. The firm’s works included a number of schools and other public buildings in the state among which were the State Normal School, built in 1897; City Hospital, 1910; Edwin A. Smith Building, c. 1911; the Museum in Roger Williams Park, all in Providence, and in addition many residences in the city and other locations. At the time of his death Mr. Hall was associated with the New York firm 'of Walker & Gillette in supervising the erection of the Industrial Trust Building in Providence.
He had been an active member of the Rhode Island Chapter, A. I. A. after 1912, and served two terms (1918-20) as its president.
