Haseltine, George was born on August 17, 1829 in Bradford, Massachusetts, United States. Son of Colonel Richard and Rebecca (Gage) Haseltine.

Education

Bachelor of Arts, Dartmouth, 1854, A.M., 1857. Bachelor of Laws, Albany Law School, 1856. (Doctor of Laws, University of Chicago, 1872).

Career

Began practice of law at St. Louis, 1855. Went to England on law business, 1857. Edited London American, 1860-1862.

Engaged in patent practice, London, 1862-1876, New York, since 1876. Gave evidence in 1871 before select committee of British Parliament on patents. Was an organizer and active member of the Vienna Patent Congress, 1873.

Fellow British Society of Arts.
