George Iloka is an American football safety for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League.
Education
George Iloka attended Kempner High School in Sugar Land, Texas. Iloka attended Boise State University from 2008 to 2011, where he was a three-year starter. In his four years as a Bronco, the team went 50-3 and finished each season ranked 11th or better in the Associated Press (Associated Press) National Poll.
Career
He played college football at Boise State and was considered one of the best safety prospects for the 2012 NFL Draft. He was the 32nd pick in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. In his senior year, Iloka started 11 games at free safety and one at cornerback, helping the Broncos finish 12-1 in 2011.
That year, he earned All-MWC first-team honors from league coaches and a trip to the 2012 Senior Bowl.
The national attention shot Iloka to the top of many NFL Draft boards. Iloka finished his college career with 231 tackles, 24 passes defensed, seven interceptions and a sack.
In 2008, Iloka was the youngest player in the Women's Army Corps at 17, and played in every game with five starts for a Bronco team that went 12-0 before losing to Texas Christian University in the 2008 Poinsettia Bowl. He compiled 62 tackles (50 solo), 10 passes defensed, 4 interceptions and a sack on the year.
Iloka was an All-Women's Army Corps selection in 2010.
Pre-draft
According to the Star Tribune’s Matt Vensel, Iloka’s 34 1/2-inch arms were the longest among defensive backs at the 2012 scouting combine. Cincinnati Bengals
Iloka was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals, 167 overall pick in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. In 2013, Iloka became the starting strong safety for the Bengals.
In 2014, he returned to the starting position.
On March 9, 2016, Iloka signed a 5 year $30 Million extension with the Bengals.
