GEORGE A. KRAETSCH

Background

George A. Kraetsch was born in 1884 in Des Moines, Iowa, United States.

Education

He received an early education in Ashland, later studied architecture at Washington University in St. Louis.

Career

Upon his return to Des Moines Mr. Kraetsch began practice, and in the following years was active in designing various public and office buildings, theatres, commercial and industrial buildings, and residences, among which were the Municipal Building; Capitol Theatre; Hyperion Country Club; St. Augustine Church; and the Boone County Court House; all in Des Moines. In practice there for many years associated in partnership with Carl A. Kraetsch (Kraetsch & Kraetsch).
