Career
The Paines lived in Willsboro, Essex County, where they owned a pulp mill which had been taken over by George Junior"s grandfather Augustus G. Paine, Junior. (1866–1947). George Junior attended Saint Mark"s School in Southboro, Massachusetts. He died on September 23, 1991.
Membership
Paine was a member of the New York State Senate (39th Doctorate) from 1961 to 1964, sitting in the 173rd and 174th New York State Legislatures.
