Assistant instructor mathematics, Bradley Polytechnic Institute, 1901-1902. With United States Engineer Corps, on deep water survey, Chicago to Saint Louis, 1902-1905. Examiner United States Patent Office, 1905-1909.

Admitted to bar Supreme Court of District of Columbia, and Court of Appeals for District of Columbia, 1908, Supreme Court of the United States, 1913, New York Supreme Court, 1919.

Also member bar many other United States courts. Known in litigation relating to adding machines, typewriters, cash registers, metallurgy, glass machinery.
