Formerly a partner in the firm of Wright, Rushforth & Cahill, retired after 1940, A resident of Berkeley, he was identified with the design of the Forest Hill Hotel built at Pacific Grove, Calif., the First Methodist Church in Berkeley, and the adjoining Wesley Foundation Building. On an earlier and more important building Mr. Rushforth was associated with George Wright on plans for Hotel Whitcomb in San Francisco, built in 1918.
