Career
Schaefer, a top executive at United Artists, was hired as president of Radio-Keith-Orpheum in 1938. He was fired from Radio-Keith-Orpheum in 1942 because of the controversy surrounding it and Welles" second film The Magnificent Ambersons. Other films made by Radio-Keith-Orpheum during Schaefer"s time at the studio include: They Knew What They Wanted (1940) Abe Lincoln in Illinois (1940).
