Career
Born in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, Thorpe was a right-handed batsman, who scored 19 runs at 6.33, with a best of 9 not out against Surrey. He took three catches in the field, but did not bowl. Thorpe died in March 1899 in Sheffield, aged 65.
