(Much turmoil surrounds the devastating phenomenon of auti...)
Much turmoil surrounds the devastating phenomenon of autism. Theories about its causes and analyses of its symptoms vary so widely that the contradictions seem irreconcilable. In The Riddle of Autism, Dr. George Victor provides an integrating perspective that is needed by researchers, clinicians, teachers, and others who work with autistic children. Divided into three sections - 'The Mystery, ' 'The Unfolding of a Pattern, ' 'Pieces of the Puzzle' - Dr. Victor examines the myths that cloud an understanding of this disorder, explores developmental contributions to it, as well as describes and probes the meanings of its specific behavioral symptom.

(In Hitler: The Pathology of Evil, Victor examines the Naz...)
In Hitler: The Pathology of Evil, Victor examines the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and the genocide of six million Jews during World War II from a different perspective. Instead of looking at Hitler and his atrocities from a strictly historical view, Victor gives a psychotherapist’s analysis of Hitler’s personality disorders, which Victor says contributed to the Holocaust. The psychologist looks at Hitler’s childhood and concludes that Hitler was distraught to the point of hatred for himself and for his father because he thought his father was partially Jewish. Victor attempts to prove that the adult Hitler was obsessed with exterminating the Jews above all else, even beyond winning World War II.

(Did U.S. intelligence know of Japan's coming attack on Pe...)
Did U.S. intelligence know of Japan's coming attack on Pearl Harbor? Did President Roosevelt know? If so, why did he withhold warnings from the commanders in Hawaii? The answers are embedded in the cogent analysis of The Pearl Harbor Myth. Based on voluminous data that does not appear in other books on the topic, it discusses in detail Roosevelt's developing strategy-both military and diplomatic-and his secret alliances to save the world from Hitler. It contains a wealth of fresh material on secret diplomacy; on secret military strategy, planning, and intelligence; and on disguised combat operations that began six months before the Pearl Harbor attack.
