He plays as a flanker. All four Whitelock boys were educated in Feilding. U19 and U21
George has already captained the 2005 New Zealand Under-19 side and the New Zealand Under-21 side against Canada in 2007.
He has very good strength at the breakdown and impressive speed.

In 2009 George Whitelock was named captain of the Canterbury ANZC team All Blacks
George Whitelock made his test debut for New Zealand in 2009 against Italy in Christchurch, impressing off the bench.
