Career

Ordained Lutheran ministry, 1880. Assistant pastor St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, New York, 1880-1882, sole pastor, 1882-1921. Now professor Wagner Memorial Lutheran College President New York Ministerium (the Evangelical Lutheran Ministerium of New York and adjacent states), 1893-1896, 1899-1902, 1908-1911, 1914-1917.

Member or chairman various important bds. and coms. of the Ministerium, and also of General Council Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Co-worker and editor of German S.S. Lesson Leaves, and of Bible Story for Sunday Schools (English and German), since 1889, later editor same.
