Assistant pomologist, 1901-1904, pomologist, in charge fruit transportation and storage investigations, 1904-1909, assistant chief Bureau Plant Industry, 1910, United States Department of Agriculture. Secretary and manager Citrus Protective League of California, Los Angeles, 1911.

General manager California Fruit Growers’ Exchange, September 1, since 1912(corporation markets fruit for 10,000 orange and lemon growers, representing 72% of citrus industry of California).
